Most probiotics need refrigeration to maintain viability but that is not the case with those that are formulated into Green Infusion. Through a proprietary process, the organisms that we use are freeze-dried and micro-encapsulated to protect their viability. They have a shelf life of two years from production for maintenance of 100% live/viable cultures at the stated dosage. (We do include overages to allow for some die off of the probiotic organisms.) Storage temperatures and relative humidity affect viability so the Green Infusion product should not be continually exposed to temperatures exceeding 80 degrees F. High humidity shouldn’t be a problem if the canister is kept tightly closed.
